Our commitment. We want Instant Capital to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or high-contrast mode. We are working to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility problems as bugs rather than requests.
Conformance status
We measure this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We consider the site substantially conformant, meaning it meets the standard in most areas, with known exceptions listed below that we are actively working on.
What we have done
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and shows a clear, high-contrast focus indicator when you get there.
- A "skip to the card board" link appears as soon as you press Tab, so keyboard users are not forced through the header every time.
- Text colours were measured and adjusted to meet the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio against the background.
- Form fields have programmatic labels, including the state selector inside the analyzer and every field in the Workspace log.
- Scrollable areas — the rates table and the terms document — are reachable and scrollable by keyboard.
- Headings follow a logical order without skipped levels, and the page uses proper landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer).
- Touch targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch devices, above the WCAG 2.2 minimum.
- The layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide.
- Form fields use 16px text on touch devices so mobile browsers do not force a zoom.
- All animation is suppressed for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
- The terms dialogue is a proper modal with a role, an accessible name, and no keyboard trap.
- The Workspace produces a plain black-on-white printable sheet, which is often the most usable form of a record for people using magnification or their own reading tools.
Known limitations
- Decorative card artwork. The stylised card graphics carry small text at low contrast. They are marked as decorative and hidden from screen readers, and every piece of information they convey is also available as ordinary text beneath each card.
- Colour as a tier signal. Approval tiers use colour, but each tier is also labelled in words and by score range, so colour is never the only way to understand it.
What we deliberately have not done
We do not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar, or widget. These products are marketed as a quick fix, they do not reliably make sites usable for people who depend on assistive technology, and disability advocates have consistently asked companies not to rely on them. We would rather fix the underlying site.
Assistive technology we test with
Keyboard-only navigation, automated auditing with axe-core against WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules, and rendering checks across screen widths from 320px to 1920px.
Tell us if something does not work
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us — it is useful feedback and we want to fix it. Email jacksonalexande@gmail.com with the page, what you were trying to do, and what happened.
We aim to reply within 5 business days and to resolve confirmed accessibility defects within 14 days. If something will take longer than that, we will tell you why and give you a date.
